The Melbourne Bach Choir is thrilled to share that our recent performance of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion received a 5-star review from the ABR (Australian Book Review). The review highlights the emotional power of the performance and the commitment and skill of our Musical Director, choir and the orchestra, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. The ABR also praised the outstanding performance of tenor Robert Macfarlane, who stepped in at short notice for the role of Evangelist, and the conductor Rick Prakhoff for his passion and dedication to the work. We are honoured to receive such high praise and are grateful to our audience for their support.
