Melbourne Bach Choir invites experienced choristers to join them in Zelman Symphony’s concert of Mahler’s extraordinary Symphony No. 2. Recently performed for the reopening of the Sydney Opera House by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under Simone Young, this musical account of struggle, death and resurrection includes the transcendent “Aufersteh’n” (Rise again) chorus – surely one of the greatest moments in all choral music.
